Shabana Ahmed studied to become a primary school teacher at Goethe University in Frankfurt (a.M.) and completed her teacher training in Marburg with the 2nd state examination. She is a teacher at an elementary school in Bonn.
While working, she completed a Master's degree in school management and is employed as a seconded teacher and school development consultant at the Cologne district government.
After completing her further training qualification in DaZ/DaF at the University of Cologne, she has been working on secondment at the Mercator Institute for Language Support and German as a Second Language since 2019. In the DaZ module, she moderates the seminar “Methods in multilingual learning groups” and thus qualifies student teachers from all types of schools.
