Anna Gorsch has been a research assistant at the Mercator Institute for Literacy and Language Education since October 2024.
She studied Linguistics and Romance Philology (French) at the Ruhr University Bochum (Bachelor of Arts) and Linguistics with a specialization in language acquisition and language development disorders at the University of Cologne (Master of Arts). In her master’s thesis, she researched the topic of “Supporting German reading development of children in newly arrived families: family literacy policy in Ukrainian refugee families.”
From March 2022, she worked as a student research assistant at the Mercator Institute for Literacy and Language Education in the projects “Reference Vocabulary for Schools” and “Language Skills of Newly Arrived Students in Mainstream Education.”
