Dr. Anne Meuter studied Sociolinguistics at the University of Essex in England. In her PhD thesis she investigated the emergence of structured variation in the speech of children and adolescents. Before joining the University of Cologne she worked at the Alanus Hochschule in Alfter where she coordinated a third-party funded project and a Master's degree in Vocational Education/Adult Education. 
In 2019 she joined the Division for Research Management (D7) at the University of Cologne as a project manager for the Mercator Institute.
