Waltraud Steinborn studied German language and literature, history, political science and psycholinguistics at the University of Konstanz. After completing her master's degree, she trained as a teacher of German and history at the Gymnasium in Bonn and then worked in a wide variety of school types in classes for refugee youth and young adults as well as in training seminars for teachers. In addition, she led projects for many years at private institutions in which young and adult refugees and migrants learn German and attend vocational preparation measures or integration courses. At the University of Bonn, she also taught for many years in the area of didactics and methodology for DaF/DaZ as well as in the area of academic writing for foreign students and German as a foreign language. Waltraud Steinborn is a trained conflict trainer and mediator, which is used, among other things, in intercultural projects and various government agencies. At the Mercator Institute she works as a lecturer in the DaZ module.
