Denise Krell studied political science, modern history and media sciences at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn while she already worked in radio and newspaper editing office. After graduating (MA) she was hired by an agency for integrated marketing (B+D) in Cologne. From 2005 to 2015 she was responsible for the operational and strategic implementation of integrated marketing concepts as a project manager, most recently as senior project manager leading a team of four employees.

After ten years of agency experience, she switched to corporate communications at toom Baumarkt, where she supported press work and internal communications for around two and a half years. Since the end of 2017 she has been working as a freelancer for various clients in the areas of editing, copywriting and public relations. As part of this activity, she wrote editorial articles, for example for the online magazine of Deutscher Ärzteverlag – Health Relations.

May 2023, she started working as a communications manager at the Mercator Institute (BiSS-Transfer initiative) and supports public relations in the communications department.
