Forschungsdatenbank Lernertexte (in German)

The web-based database enables research in a text corpus of 5,628 learner texts in German. The texts were collected as part of the BMBF project "Unterrichtliche Förderung von Teilkomponenten der Schreibkompetenz" in fifth and ninth grades at comprehensive schools and grammar schools in Cologne and Hanover. These writing products are provided as orthographically normalized transcripts as well as scans of the handwritten originals together with metadata of the pupils, for example, language biographical information and language-related ability scores. The database is currently being expanded - also in cooperation with the Verbund Forschungsdaten Bildung (VerbundFBD).

Registration and login

To use the database you have to register here. You will have access to the learner texts and selected meta and test data from the above mentioned interdisciplinary research project.
